The Chung Lab is located in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University. Our lab is focused on understanding the molecular and physiological mechanisms of how insects adapt to different environments and to anthropogenic chemicals (e.g. insecticides). We also study how this adaptation can lead to reproductive isolation in some cases and the formation of new insect species.  Our study system is currently flies from the Drosophila genus but we are expanding our research into other insect species.
